Practice!

Ok, So I drew this picture out in my head on how I want my mom's bday cake to look! Soooo.. I tried to practice.. but this is only the top layer.. I want it to be a 2 layer cake, so this is only what the top layer will look like.. I figure if I can do the top layer then I can do the bottom layer too! Well... this is how it turned out... Love the Big Bow!

I used pearl dust for the shimmery look on the bow and the black design I put on there.. I love making the bow, it's fun!

This is the front...and on the bottom layer I want another ribbon just like this but on the opposite side...and with a lil more of the black design on there but with more detail... can you picture it?? lol, but I cut out this black print all by hand and it wasn't easy!! And yeah..the "M" on the cake is not on there right! lol, but the Big "C" is at my mom's house and that's what's going to be on top!

Our 2 year Anniversary

It's been two years now since we've said I do, and we are more in love now than ever.

We may have had our ups and downs these past 2 years but we've stuck it through, I don't think anything can tear us apart.

Baileys Bday Cake

I worked on this bday cake all day! And it was fun but it's also hard work! This lil girl Bailey is going to be turning 6 and her mom hired me to do her bday cake.
She wanted something that had to do with soccer but she also wanted it to be cute and girly..then she called and told me that they liked the colors pink, purple, blue, and green.. so I put all those colors into the cake! I've never made a soccer ball before tho... or any other kind! lol, but this one actually turned out pretty good! I hope Bailey will be very happy with this cake!

Lol! Leah found the cake mix!! I of course had to take it away... Gave her a banana instead! yummm chocolate.. I made the chocolate buttercream icing from scratch

First time I ever cut out letter outta fondant.. and with a knife!

And this is the first time I tried to make a soccer ball!! Carved it, iced it, and put the fondant on! Ta-Dah! Don't think you can really tell in this pic but I put edible glitter on the letters, so her name is sparkly!

WV Visit

Leah had alot of fun in West Virginia! She got to visit grandmommy and granddaddy for about 2 weeks, and go to church, and play outside! The only part that wasn't so great was the plane ride! lol

Morgantown West Virginia

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Pittsburgh, Joel has some military work that he needs to do there, and Leah and I will be staying with his parents for two weeks in West Virginia, that is where Joel was raised, and he attended college at wvu.
It's a very pretty place, this picture below is a pic of Cooper's Rock, Joel has taken me here a few times, it has a very pretty view, especially in the fall, the trees are very colorful!
Anyways, Next weekend we might be going to a wvu football game which I know Joel is very excited about! He is so happy about football season starting up!

I took Leah's bed apart the other day and made it into a day bed... Leah kept saying, "mommy fix bed" while I was taking it apart lol.

Home Sweet Home

We've been living in dallas for a couple of months now, and we have a beautiful apartment! But we don't have as much stuff as I'd like to have, lol.. when we moved, we sold all our stuff! So we've had to start over with furniture and decor, but we still have some bare walls which is annoying! My mom really hates it, lol.. but I do love our home, it's the size of a small house (:
I still can't wait for our first house though! yep.. that pic is not real.. my mom did that in photo shop, pretty neat! Something Really really really needs to go above that couch.... lol, Joel hates that couch even though he bought it! lol, now he wants to sell it!
