Morgantown West Virginia

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Pittsburgh, Joel has some military work that he needs to do there, and Leah and I will be staying with his parents for two weeks in West Virginia, that is where Joel was raised, and he attended college at wvu.
It's a very pretty place, this picture below is a pic of Cooper's Rock, Joel has taken me here a few times, it has a very pretty view, especially in the fall, the trees are very colorful!
Anyways, Next weekend we might be going to a wvu football game which I know Joel is very excited about! He is so happy about football season starting up!

I took Leah's bed apart the other day and made it into a day bed... Leah kept saying, "mommy fix bed" while I was taking it apart lol.

Home Sweet Home

We've been living in dallas for a couple of months now, and we have a beautiful apartment! But we don't have as much stuff as I'd like to have, lol.. when we moved, we sold all our stuff! So we've had to start over with furniture and decor, but we still have some bare walls which is annoying! My mom really hates it, lol.. but I do love our home, it's the size of a small house (:
I still can't wait for our first house though! yep.. that pic is not real.. my mom did that in photo shop, pretty neat! Something Really really really needs to go above that couch.... lol, Joel hates that couch even though he bought it! lol, now he wants to sell it!

Playing around

I was playing around with fondant today and thought this pattern looked neat, and I made my own fondant this time, but unfortately it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, it was too gooey! lol, so I'm going to have to find a better recipe, it was getting sticky and hard to use, it was especially hard trying to put color in it, but I already baked the cakes so I did what I could, there are def some flaws in the cake but not as bad as I thought it would be considering the fondant I was using lol

Leah's Day Out

Sunday Joel was off work so we decided to take Leah out, so we took her to the park to feed the ducks and then took her to Chuck E. Cheese! She had so much fun that she wore herself out, by the time we got home she was already asleep! lol, I love this little girl so much!

Here are some recent pics I've taken of Leah! She is getting so big! I got her this cute lil school girl outfit and I just love it on her! It's sad how they grow up so fast, she's been talking up a storm, sometimes it gets annoying because she'll repeat herself over and over lol.
The doll she's holding is a doll she got from Aunt Linda on her birthday and she loves that doll, she likes to sleep with her(: I love this pic of her, she looks so beautiful! And yes that is a passy in her hand, lol Joels a lil upset b/c she got off it for a while but I bought her a couple of em and she's back on em... hehe she'll always be my baby, but I have to take her back off em here soon, it's not like she's really attatched to em, I just want her to stay my baby! Especially since we probably won't have another one for a long time ):

Sis.Matthews Birthday Cake!

Sorry it's been a while since I have updated my blog, We really need to get internet! But anyways, My mom and nana came to get Leah and I Moday because my mom was holding a birthday party at her house Tuesday for our Pastor's wife, Sis. Mathews, and she wanted me to make the cake...
I was excited to do it but I knew it would be a challenge to make this cake because of the bottom layer, It's 10 inches and I haven't had to put fondant on a layer that big before, but luckily I did it! lol, I was a lil nervous but it all turned out okay! Sis. Matthews loved it! (:
